Florence Buffoni

Florence J. Buffoni, 77, of Marble Street died Wednesday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Great Barrington on Aug. 10, 1923, daughter of Charles E. and Mary Olaray Sermini, she was a graduate of the former Searles High School. During the 1940s, she worked for GE in Pittsfield. After she moved to Lee in 1954, she worked as a housekeeper in the Great Barrington area, until retiring in 1985. Mrs. Buffoni was a communicant of St. Mary's Church. She leaves a son, Raymond J. "Butch" Buffoni of Austerlitz, N.Y.; a daughter, Marie B. Canon of Clackamas, Ore.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The funeral, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial, will be Saturday at 10 at St. Mary's Church. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery in Great Barrington. There will be no visiting hours. Friends wishing may make donations to St. Mary's Church in care of KELLY FUNERAL HOME at 3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238.
