Grace McLaughlin

Grace K. McLaughlin, 94, of Lenoir, N.C., formerly of 45 Bel Air Ave., died Tuesday at Caldwell Memorial Hospital in Lenoir. She moved to North Carolina in 1994. Born in Pittsfield on Jan. 13, 1907, daughter of James and Nellie Foley Sheridan, she was educated in local schools. Primarily a homemaker, she was employed at Crane & Co. in Dalton for several years. Mrs. McLaughlin was a longtime communicant of St. Charles' Church and a member of its Rosary Sodality. Her husband, Leonard J. McLaughlin, whom she married Feb. 2, 1942, died Dec. 27, 1985. She leaves a daughter, Susan M. Beucler of Lenoir, and three grandchildren. She was the proud grandmother of Leonard, Gregory and Eileen Beucler and the mother-in-law of John F. Beucler. Mrs. McLaughlin was predeceased by three brothers, James, William and Walter Sheridan; five sisters, Hazel Bouchard, Florence Roy, Ann Clary, Madeline DuBois and Mae Clary. Calling hours at DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME will be Sunday from 3 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral services will be Monday at 8:45 from the funeral home, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:30 at St. Charles' Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to St. Charles' Church in care of the funeral home.
