Alexander Vincent Wronski

Alexander Vincent Wronski, 84, of 44 Fisk Road died yesterday at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in Cleveland on July 11, 1919, son of Frank and Victoria Barszcz Wronski, he moved to Windsor with his family as a child, attending local schools. He moved to Adams in 1947. An Army veteran of World War II, he served with Battery C of the 370th Field Artillery Battalion in the European-North African theater. He was awarded the Bronze Star. Mr. Wronski was a stockman at the former Arnold Print Works in Adams for more than 30 years, retiring in 1981. Also a carpenter, he worked for many area contractors and had built his own home. He was a communicant of St. Stanislaus' Church and a member of Adams Post 160 American Legion. He was awarded the medal of the Order of St. Barbara for his gallant military service. He enjoyed golfing, hiking, skiing and snowmobiling. He and his wife, the former Natalie S. Maznicki, were married 56 years Dec. 27. Besides his wife, he leaves two sisters, Stella Maestroni of Palmer and Jessie Walsh of Osterville. His son, William Wronski, died Aug. 15, 1980. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Alexander Vincent Wronski, who died Dec. 29, 2003, will be Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004, at 10:15 from AUGÉ-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church celebrated by the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Parishes of St. Stanislaus Kostka and Notre Dame-St. Thomas. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to St. Stanislaus Kostka Church or to a charity of the donor's choice through the funeral home. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. Mr. Wronski was predeceased by a sister, Regina Zabek, and by three brothers, Chester, Matthew and Frank Wronski.
