Elsie Wellspeak

Elsie Wellspeak, 90, of 7312 Sheephead Drive, Hudson, Fla., formerly of Adams, died Friday at Richey Manor Health Care Center in Richey, Fla. Born in Adams on March 16, 1911, daughter of Joseph P. and Celina DuBois LeBeau, she attended the former Notre Dame School. A homemaker, she was employed by the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Co. for several years. In 1955, she moved to West Haven, Conn., and then moved to Florida in 1978. While in Adams, Mrs. Wellspeak was a communicant of the Parish of Notre Dame-St. Thomas'. Her first husband, Nelson Wellspeak Sr., died in 1959. Her second husband, James Bailey, died in 1999. She leaves two sons, Richard Wellspeak of Willsboro, N.Y., and Nelson Wellspeak Jr. of Cicero, N.Y.; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The funeral for Elsie Wellspeak will be Wednesday, April 4, at 9 from TROTTIER-PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME in Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 in Notre Dame Church celebrated by the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Parish of Notre Dame and St. Thomas Aquinas. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6 to 8.
