Bruno Buda

Bruno Buda, 75, of 2 East View Drive died Sunday at Berkshire Medical Center after suffering an apparent heart attack at home. Born in Adams on April 25, 1925, son of Albert and Aniela Sudacki Buda, he attended Adams schools and also the I.C.S. Course for toolmaking, graduating in 1966. He was employed by General Electric Co. in Pittsfield for 43 years, retiring in 1978. Mr. Buda was a communicant of the Parish of Notre Dame and St. Thomas Aquinas, and a member of the Polish National Alliance in Adams and the GE Quarter-Century Club. He leaves his wife, the former Dorothy Varno, whom he married Sept. 3, 1945; two daughters, Patricia Haskell of Sandisfield and Hilda Carson of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. The funeral will be Saturday, April 7, at 10 a.m. from TROTTIER-PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME in Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at Notre Dame Church, celebrated by the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Parish of Notre Dame and St. Thomas Aquinas. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday, April 6, from 4 to 8. He was predeceased by a sister, Stacia Guidi, and three brothers, Edmond Buda, Albert Buda and Matthew Buda.
