Ruth D. Harris, 61, of Salisbury Road did Sunday evening at home. Born Dec. 5, 1942, in the Bronx, N.Y., daughter of Milton A. and Leah Kessler Bleier, she was a graduate of Herricks High School in New Hyde Park, N.Y. She moved to the Berkshires in the mid-1980s. Mrs. Harris was a longtime employee of the Kmart store in Great Barrington. She leaves two sons, Charles Harris and Alan Harris, both of Lindenhurst, N.Y.; a daughter, Paula Kaufman of West Hempstead, N.Y., and three grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A graveside service for Ruth Harris, who died Feb. 1, 2004, was conducted yesterday, Feb. 3, at the family plot in Beth El Cemetery, Paramus, N.J., by Rabbi Andre Ungar. Devoted mother of Charles and Alan Harris, both of Lindenhurst, N.Y.; Paula and David Kaufman of West Hempstead, N.Y.; loving grandmother of Rachel, Samantha and Gabrielle.
