Lawrence M. White, 52, of 45 Spring St. died Thursday morning at North Adams Regional Hospital, shortly after being stricken at home. He had also resided in Bennington, Vt., for many years. Born in Pittsfield on Sept. 21, 1951, the son of Charles and Evelyn Roberts White, he was a 1969 graduate of Pittsfield High School. A chef, he worked in restaurants throughout New England. At one time, he owned and operated a restaurant in Hyannis. He enjoyed cooking, movies and music. He and his wife, the former Gail L. Hutchinson, were married Aug. 8, 1971. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Eric M. White of Bennington and Gabriel White of Walden, N.Y.; two brothers, Alan White and Richard White, both of Berkshire County; a sister, Susan Goodrich of Berkshire County, and three grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Lawrence Michael "Larry" White will be remembered in a celebration of his life at a later date. A formal burial will take place in the spring at a time and place to be announced. Larry will be remembered as enjoying the time he spent with his family. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Tyler, Alexandra and Samantha White, and his daughters-in-law, Maria White of Bennington and Sara White of Walden. The ROCHE FUNERAL HOME, 120 Main St., Lenox, is in charge of arrangements.
