Marsilia Lucille Pasquini

Marsilia Lucille Pasquini, 84, formerly of 54 Furnace Hill, died yesterday at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. She had resided at Sugar Hill in Dalton for a month. Born in Gambellara, province of Vicenza, Italy, on Dec. 13, 1919, daughter of Dominic and Angelina Vignato, she came to the United States in 1920, settling in West Springfield, where she attended schools. She moved to Cheshire in 1941 and to Devonshire Estates Retirement Residence in Lenox two years ago. Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Pasquini had worked for GE Plastics in Pittsfield and for the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church and a member of the Cheshire Senior Center. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and traveling. Her husband, Gemerino Pasquini, whom she married April 19, 1941, in Springfield, died March 25, 1986. She leaves two sons, James J. Pasquini of Cheshire and Mark M. Pasquini of Lanesboro, a brother, Gino Vignato of Agawam and four grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Marsilia L. Vignato Pasquini, 84, who died Feb. 9, 2004, will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 at St. Mary of the Assumption Church by the Rev. Daniel J. O'Hear, pastor of St. Anthony's Church, North Adams. Burial will be in the spring in Cheshire Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends at the church Wednesday morning from 9:30 until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Cheshire Volunteer Fire Department or to St. Mary of the Assumption Church, both in care of DERY-CHESHIRE FUNERAL HOME, 121 North State Road, Cheshire, MA 01225. Mrs. Pasquini is lovingly survived by her four adored grandchildren, Jill Pasquini Torchia, LeeAnn Pasquini, Paige Pasquini and Tate Pasquini. She was predeceased by a brother, Aldo Vignato, and by a sister, Tosca Larese.
