Margaret Lancto

Margaret R. "Peg" Lancto, 58, of Rickard Street, and a former longtime resident of Williamstown, died Wednesday at home. Born in Williamstown on June 13, 1942, she was the daughter of Margaret Dugan Lancto of Williamstown and the late Silas Lancto. She graduated from the former Williamstown High School in 1960. She was employed by Excelsior Printing in North Adams from 1977 until the time of her death. Ms. Lancto was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Williamstown and was also a former volunteer Gray Lady at North Adams Regional Hospital. Besides her mother, she leaves a sister, Susan Denzel of Dalton. The family will be in attendance for calling hours at St. Patrick's Church, 53 Southworth St., Williamstown, Friday evening from 6 to 7:30. A Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be offered at St. Patrick's Church on Saturday, April 7, at 11 a.m. She also leaves a sister-in-law, Beatrice Lancto of Williamstown; a brother-in-law, Ernest J. Dubé Jr. of Pittsfield; five nieces and nephews, Lisa McLain, Heather Rieger, Jay Dubé, David Dubé and Gregory Lancto, their spouses and children. Ms. Lancto was predeceased by a sister, Jean Dubé, and a brother, John Frederick Lancto. Peg's family would like to thank her co-workers and friends at Excelsior Printing for the many acts of kindness, love and support shown to her. Please know that she shared your love. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Church.
