Kathleen A. "Honey" Quintal

Kathleen A. "Honey" Quintal, 65, of Main Street died yesterday afternoon at home. Born in Rensselaer, N.Y., on Feb. 20, 1938, daughter of Gertrude McGee of Rensselaer and the late James W. McGee, she graduated from St. John's Academy in Plattsburgh, N.Y. and the College of St. Rose in Albany, N.Y. Her husband, Armand L. Quintal, whom she married Dec. 29, 1973, in Wellesley, died May 3, 2002. Besides her mother, she leaves seven daughters, Kelley O'Toole of Hancock and Guiamaca, Honduras, Traci Manzello of Shrewsbury, Lauren Nichols, Amanda Quintal of Bethesda, Md., Nicole Quintal Terryville, Conn., Mikki Feltmate of Pittsfield, Marguerite Quintal of Watertown; five sons, Walter Feltmate II of Hancock, Jonathan Quintal of Terryville, Conn., Richard Quintal of North Adams, and Matthew Quintal and Allen Quintal of Pittsfield; a sister, Eleanor McGee Lecours of Simsbury, Conn., and 10 grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Kathleen A. "Honey" Quintal died peacefully Feb. 18, 2004, surrounded by her loving family. Services will be held Friday at 8:30 at Hall & Higgins Funeral Home, 457 NY 43, Stephentown, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 in Church of the Immaculate Conception, Route 20, New Lebanon. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall next to the church. Burial will be at 1 in St. Agnes' Cemetery in Menands. Relatives and friends are invited to the funeral home today, Feb. 19, from 4 to 8. Memorial contributions in loving memory of Honey may be made to Charlie's Pantry, Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Research or the Leukemia Association of America in care of the funeral home P.O. Box 9, Stephentown, NY 12168. She leaves her adoring children and their spouses, Kelley (Eddie) O'Toole of Guiamaca, Honduras, and Hancock, Traci (Joseph) Manzello of Shrewsbury, and Lauren (Kevin) Nichols, Walter (Trish) Feltmate II, both of Hancock, Amanda (Bruce) Quintal of Bethesda, Md., Nicole (Toby) Quintal and Jonathan Quintal, both of Terryville, Conn., Marguerite (Jeff) Quintal of Watertown, Richard Quintal of North Adams, and Mikki (Tad) Feltmate, Matthew (Kristin) Quintal and Allen (Kellie) Quintal, all of Pittsfield; a sister, Eleanor McGee Lecours of Simsbury, Conn.; and her grandchildren Walter, Victoria, James, Kelsea, Sonrisa, Cali, Brandon, Dominique, Tyler and Anna. She loved life and was a caregiver to many adults, children and animals.
