Marjorie Nicola

Marjorie Nicola, 74, of 1000 North St. died Sunday at Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility. Born in Pittsfield on Feb. 13, 1930, daughter of Lawrence and Ethel Stevens Unbehend, she was a graduate of Pittsfield High School. A homemaker, Mrs. Nicola was a member of First United Methodist Church. Her husband, Armando Nicola, whom she married Oct. 22, 1951, died March 17, 1985. She leaves a daughter, Sharon Nicola of Pittsfield; three sons, Louis Nicola and James Nicola, both of Pittsfield, and Joseph Nicola of Catskill, N.Y.; a sister, Vera Howes of Freehold, N.J.; a brother, Lawrence Unbehend of Pittsfield, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Marjorie Nicola, who died Feb. 22, 2004, will be conducted tomorrow, Feb. 25, at 1:30 at First United Methodist Church by the Rev. Roger Davis, pastor. Calling hours will be tomorrow from 1 to 1:30 at the church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the American Diabetes Fund in care of WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 220 East St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
