Ruth Ellen Juhasz, 63, of Storrs, Conn., died Saturday at Douglas Manor in Windham, Conn., after a two-year battle with breast cancer. She was the mother of Stacey Gurney of Cheshire. Born in New Bremen, N.Y., on April 1, 1940, daughter of Clinton and Angeline Gluer Bush, she graduated from high school there. Mrs. Juhasz was employed as an American Sign Language instructor for the state of Connecticut at Mansfield Training Center, retiring in 1995. Besides her daughter, she leaves her husband, Barry Juhasz, whom she married in 1959; another daughter, Cheryl Juhasz of North Windham, Conn.; a brother, Richard Bush of Lowville, N.Y.; a sister, Carol Wagner of Syracuse, N.Y., and five grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Ruth Bush Juhasz, who died Feb. 21, 2004, will be private at her request. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Women's Imaging Center Endowment Fund at Berkshire Medical Center, Development Office, 725 North St., Pittsfield, MA 01201. Survivors include her son-in-law, Rick Gurney of Cheshire, and five grandchildren, Jarod and Nicole Gurney and Jamie Lee, Mikailla and Brandon Martingano. Mrs. Juhasz was predeceased by five brothers, Clifford, Milton, Kenneth, Clinton and John Bush, and a sister, Barbara Merry.
