John A. Hospot Jr

John A. Hospot Jr., 73, of 8 Lyric St. died yesterday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Pittsfield on Nov. 10, 1930, son of John Hospot Sr. and Estelle Bujalkowski Hospot, he was a 1948 graduate of Pittsfield High School. He was a Navy veteran, retiring with 20 years of service. An ocean graphic specialist, he served in the Korean and Vietnam wars. Mr. Hospot retired in 1986 and had worked as a processor for Wohrle's Foods for 16 years. A lifelong resident of Pittsfield, he was a communicant of St. Mark's Church. He was a Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan and enjoyed reading. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Antoinette Pizzonia, whom he married July 25, 1964, in Mount Carmel Church. She died April 16, 1978. He leaves a daughter, Laura A. Sherman of Pittsfield. FUNERAL NOTICE -- John A. Hospot Jr., 73, died in Pittsfield on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2004. Beloved father-in-law to Daniel Sherman. Funeral services will be Monday, March 1, 2004, at 10:30 from DWYER FUNERAL HOME, 776 North St., Pittsfield, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Mark's Church at 11 celebrated by the Rev. John C. Salatino, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be the morning of the funeral, Monday, March 1, from 9:30 to 10:30. If friends desire, donations may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of the funeral home in his memory. He was predeceased by a brother, Raymond Hospot.
