Darlene Gail Sherman, 43, of 38 Galvin Road died Saturday at North Adams Regional Hospital, where she was admitted earlier in the evening. Born in North Adams on Oct. 6, 1960, daughter of Laura Holland Sherman Hartman and the late Everett L. Sherman, she was a 1979 graduate of Drury High School. Ms. Sherman was employed by Aladco in Adams until leaving because of poor health. She also had worked at the former C.B. Sports Co. in Bennington, Vt., and at Western Massachusetts Sewing Factory and Burger King. Besides her mother, of Williamstown, she leaves two sons, Kyle Jones, with whom she made her home, and Chad Jones of North Adams; three sisters, LauraLee Marie O'Neil and Deborah Sherman, both of North Adams, and Pamela Sherman of Clarksburg; two brothers, Everett L. "Bud" Sherman of Clarksburg and John Sherman of North Adams; her stepfather, William Hartman, and two grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Darlene Gail Sherman, who died Feb. 28, 2004, will be conducted Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., by the Rev. Joseph DeCosta, pastor of First Baptist Church of North Adams. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:30 at the funeral home. Burial will take place in the spring in West Hoosick Cemetery in Hoosick Falls, N.Y. Memorial donations are suggested through the funeral home. Survivors also include two grandchildren, Jozlyn and Jessica Jones; her sister-in-law, Rose Sherman; her brother-in-law, Robert O'Neil, and her daughter-in-law, Penny Jones. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.
