Ann Marie Tokarz, 88, of 703 Massachusetts Ave. died Saturday at North Adams Regional Hospital, where she was admitted Feb. 23. Born in Chicopee on Feb. 28, 1916, daughter of Lawrence and Agnes Kielbasa Wolanik, she attended schools in Belchertown. She had resided in North Adams for 45 years. Mrs. Tokarz was employed by the former Cornish Wire Co. in Williamstown for 17 years, retiring in 1980. She was a communicant of the former Our Lady of the Incarnation Church, now Our Lady of Mercy. She enjoyed gardening, bird-watching and nature. Her husband, Charles P. Tokarz, whom she married June 4, 1944, died Dec. 14, 1998. She leaves two sons, Charles P. Tokarz Jr. of North Adams and Francis P. Tokarz of Newmarket, N.H., and two grandsons. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Ann Marie Tokarz, who died Feb. 28, 2004, will be tomorrow, March 2, at 9 from AUGE-SAN SOUCIE-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, North Adams. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 in St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours will be today, March 1, from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire through the funeral home, 46 North Church St., North Adams, MA 01247. She leaves her daughter-in-law, Wilvina, and two grandsons, Daniel Tokarz and Ryan Sirois-Tokarz, both of Kittery, Maine.
