Dominic Pisani

Dominic Pisani, 88, of 193 Elberon Ave. died Saturday at home. Born in the former Mountain Mills, Vt., on Sept. 1, 1915, son of Bruno and Margurite DeBonis Pisani, he attended Pittsfield public schools. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. Mr. Pisani worked as a painter at Berkshire Medical Center for 20 years, retiring in 1977. Before that, he was employed by the state as a forester. He was a communicant of Mount Carmel Church and enjoyed fishing and attending baseball games. He leaves a sister, Rose Rocca of Pittsfield. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Dominic Pisani, who died March 6, 2004, will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 at Mount Carmel Church by the Rev. Geoffrey Deeker, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be the day of the funeral from 9 to 9:45. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the American Diabetes Association in care of WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 220 East St., Pittsfield, MA 01201. Survivors include a niece, Valierie Copeland of Dalton, and several other nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. He never missed taking his grandnephews to baseball games.
