Cecilia "Sissy" Gaudet

Cecilia "Sissy" Gaudet, 47, of 8 Lower Linden St. died March 9 at University of Massachusetts Memorial Medical Center in Worcester following a short illness. Born in Marion, S.C., on March 9, 1957, daughter of Diane Arbogast Johnson of Georgia and the late Kenneth Johnson, she attended school there. She had lived in Adams for nine years. Mrs. Gaudet was employed at the time of her death as a sales representative for Steck-Vaughn Publishing Co., a publisher of GED testing materials. Earlier, she had worked at Berkshire Community College. Before moving to this area, she had worked for 13 years at the University of South Carolina in the assessment and testing department. Besides her mother, she leaves her husband, Michael J. Gaudet, whom she married July 4, 1994; a brother, Kenneth Johnson of South Carolina; two sisters, Patricia Johnson of the state of Florida, and Rose Bigler of Illinois; a stepsister, Ginny Johnson of Ohio, and her stepmother, Louann Johnson of Ohio. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A memorial service for Cecilia Gaudet, who died March 9, 2004, will be held at the University of South Carolina chapel at a later date.
