Linda Gail O'Keefe

Linda Gail O'Keefe, 37, of Alum Hill Road died Friday in a motor vehicle accident in Canaan, Conn. Born in Granville, N.Y., on Oct. 10, 1966, daughter of William and Mary Auston Farnham, she was a 1984 graduate of Housatonic Valley Regional High School in Falls Village, Conn., and was working toward a horticulture certificate from Berkshire Botanical Garden and Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. Mrs. O'Keefe worked most recently as a landscaper in gardens at private residences in the tri-state area. She also spent numerous hours working on the gardens at her home. She was also a hiker. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She and her husband, Daniel J. O'Keefe, would have celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary June 11. They were married in Great Barrington. Besides her husband and mother, of Great Barrington, and her father, of West Cornwall, Conn., she leaves two sons, Nolan MacDonald and Dylan O'Keefe, both at home; three brothers,, William Farnham Jr. of Johnson, Vt., Randy Farnham of Wakesfield, Vt., and Mitchell Farnham of Alford, and her former husband, Leo MacDonald of Canaan. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A memorial service for Linda Gail Farnham O'Keefe, who died March 26, 2004, will be Wednesday at 11 at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 30, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home, 426 Main St., Great Barrington, MA 01230. Linda was a dynamic and positive woman. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister who cared deeply for the people and interests with which she filled her life. Survivors include several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Memorial contributions may be made to the Linda O'Keefe Memorial Fund, which will go toward her sons' college education, through the funeral home.
