Eleanor Orzolek Drumm

Eleanor Orzolek Drumm, 74, of 219 Oak St., Housatonic, died suddenly Sunday, April 16, at Bristol Hospital. She was born in Housatonic on March 4, 1927, daughter of the late Stanislaw and Marcianna Gromelski Orzolek. She was a graduate of the former Searles High School, Class of 1945. She had worked for the former telephone exchange until 1975 when she became a service order writer in the orders room for New England Telephone at their Pittsfield branch, retiringin 1982 after 32 years. She was a member of the telephone pioneers of America, the Thursday Morning Club, a communicant and member of the Rosary Sodality at All Saints Church. She knitted mittens for the benefits at the Great Barrington Senior Center. She was the widow of Raymond F. Drumm, whome she married August 9, 1947 in All Saints Church and who died March 13, 2001. She is survived by 2 daughters, Linda Bertucci of Seattle, Washington and Susan Scionti of Bristol, CT., 1 sister, Francis Kraay of St. Louis, MI, 1 granddaughter, Stephanie Scioti. She was predeceased by another sister, Sadie Burt. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 21st at 9 am at the HICKEY-ROY FUNERAL HOME, to be followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial in All Saints Church at 10 am with the Rev. Anthony Jutt, Pastor offciating. Burial will be in St. Bridget's Cemetery. Family will receive family and friends on Friday, April 20, 2001 from 4-7 pm.
