Arthur A. "Sonny" Felix Jr., 63, of 254 Mohawk Forest Boulevard died Sunday at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, where he had been admitted March 23. Born in North Adams on Oct. 5, 1940, son of Arthur A. Felix Sr. and Mabel Babcock Felix, he attended schools in North Adams, including Johnson School. Mr. Felix had been employed for more than 15 years at Best-Way Car Wash on River Street. He also had been employed by the former Arnold Print Works and Molly's Bakery. He was a communicant of St. Francis' Church. He enjoyed going on long hikes and fishing. His wife, the former Marilyn Gertrude Hillard, whom he married April 15, 1961, in St. Francis' Church, died Oct. 24, 2003. He leaves a son, Arthur A. Felix III of North Adams, with whom he made his home; two sisters, Nancy Worden of Accord, N.Y., and Judith Clark of North Adams, and a brother, Allan Felix of North Adams. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Arthur A. "Sonny" Felix Jr. will be conducted Friday at 2 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, by the Rev. Michael Twardzik, pastor of St. Francis', Notre Dame and Our Lady of Mercy churches in North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Thursday from 6 to 8. Memorial donations are suggested through the funeral home. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
