Evelyn Adeline "Pat" Gallagher

Evelyn Adeline "Pat" Gallagher, 81, of St. Joseph's Court died yesterday at Sweet Brook Care Centers in Williamstown. Born in North Adams on June 7, 1922, daughter of Raoul and Maude Bechard Tatro, she attended schools in North Pownal, Vt., and later in North Adams, graduating from Drury High School in 1940. Mrs. Gallagher was employed as a waitress and cook by several restaurants in Williamstown, North Adams and Adams. She was a communicant of St. Francis' Church. Her husband, Richard Alfred Gallagher, whom she married Aug. 30, 1941, in St. Francis' Church, died Sept. 5, 1983. He leaves a daughter, Sandra Oleskiewicz of Lakeland, Fla.; four sons, James R. Gallagher and Brian P. Gallagher, both of Adams, and Francis R. Gallagher and Robert E. Gallagher, both of North Adams; a sister, Mildred Bourelle of Adams, 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Evelyn Adeline "Pat" Tatro Gallagher, who died March 31, 2004, will be Saturday at 9 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. Calling hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow, April 2, from 4 to 7. Memorial donations are suggested for the American Cancer Society through the funeral home. Survivors include a son-in-law, William Oleskiewicz; daughters-in-law Tracy Gallagher, Della Gallagher, Beatrice Gallagher and Linda Gallagher. She was predeceased by a brother, Francis Tatro, who was killed in World War II, and a sister, Loretta Rice.
