Frances I. Gajda

Frances I. Gajda, 91, formerly of 27 Commercial St., died Saturday morning at Williamstown Commons. Born in Adams on March 9, 1913, daughter of John and Mary Ciesla Gajda, she attended schools there. Ms. Gajda was employed by the former Waverly Fabrics mill for many years, retiring in 1977. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus' Church and enjoyed crocheting and reading. She leaves a daughter, Jacqueline Andrews of Adams; two brothers, Frank Gajda of the state of Florida and Joseph Gajda of Adams; three sisters, Daisy Casey of Hinsdale, and Mildred Sliwa and Josephine Gajda, both of Adams; a granddaughter, two great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Frances I. Gajda, who died April 3, 2004, will be celebrated Tuesday, April 13, at 10 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church by the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Parishes of Notre Dame-St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Stanislaus Kostka. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus' Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to St. Stanislaus' Church through TROTTIER-PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St., Adams, MA 01220, which is in charge of arrangements. She leaves her granddaughter, Anita Kochanski of Adams; two great-grandchildren, Michelle and Gregory Kochanski, and her great-great-grandchild, Kaden Kochanski. She was predeceased by two brothers, Al Gajda and Matthew Gajda; by two sisters, Katherine Greenbush and Dorothy Pellerin, and by two great-grandchildren, Anthony Kochanski and Steven Kochanski.
