Claire L. Momnie

Claire L. Momnie, 80, of 16 Cortland St., Chicopee, died Sunday at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield. She was the sister of the Rev. Eugene Momnie of Pittsfield. Born in Chicopee on Dec. 4, 1923, daughter of Conrad and Julia Pion Momnie, she was a 1941 graduate of Cathedral High School in Springfield. She was a lifelong resident of Chicopee. Miss Momnie was employed by Radiological Associates, later Radiology and Imaging Inc., in Springfield for 42 years, beginning as an X-ray technician and retiring in 1986 as office manager. She was a communicant of St. George's Church in Chicopee for many years and was involved in various church activities. Besides her brother, she leaves a sister, Cecile A. LaFramboise of Wells, Maine. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services will assemble tomorrow at 9 from TYLUNAS FUNERAL HOME, 159 Broadway, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 at St. George's Church, 7 Belcher St., and burial in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery, 49 Olsen St., all in Chicopee. Visiting hours will be tonight from 5 to 8. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joan of Arc/St. George' School, 587 Grattan St., Chicopee, MA 01020. Survived by brother-in-law, Raymond LaFramboise; sister-in-law, Claire Panda; nephews, David, Charles and Phillip; nieces, Marie Sykes, Paula Boyd, Julia Adamchek, Elaine Pino; her cousin and friend since childhood, Janine LaFreniere, and several other cousins. A brother, Dr. Paul E. Momnie of Chicopee, died in 1967.
