Theresa M. Decker, 42, of 6207 Northwest 28th Court, Margate, Fla., a former resident of South Egremont, died Wednesday at Northwest Medical Center. Death followed a long illness. Born in Great Barrington on July 16, 1961, daughter of Paul E. Decker of South Egremont and the late Patricia Murray Decker, she was a 1979 graduate of Mount Everett Regional High School. She moved to Fort Lauderdale in 1986 and had recently moved to Margate. While in Great Barrington, she had been employed as a home health aide and had also worked for the Jug End Barn as a waitress. She was a waitress and caterer in Fort Lauderdale. She had participated in horse shows for the former Whipping Willow Stables in Housatonic, and enjoyed animals, especially dogs and cats. She was also an avid skier. Besides her father and stepmother, Maryann Cappi Decker, she leaves a sister, Lee Watroba of Becket; her maternal step-grandmother, Frances Cappi of Housatonic; a stepbrother, Richard Zamberletti of Housatonic, and a stepsister, Michelle Gulotta of Sheffield. She also leaves her companion, Robert Siver of Margate. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Memorial Mass for Theresa M. Decker, who died Wednesday, April 7, 2004, will be Wednesday, April 14, at 10 at Our Lady of the Valley Church, Sheffield, with the Rev. John S. Lis, pastor, officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 13, from 4 to 7 at the BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME. Expressions of sympathy in Theresa's memory may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society c/o the funeral home, 33 South St., Great Barrington, MA 01230. She leaves her brother-in-law, Robert; stepsister-in-law, Susan; stepbrother-in-law, Anthony; six nieces and nephews, Sean, Valerie, Matt, Adam, Sarah and Marianna, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
