Felicia Alice Banas, 88, of 69 North Summer St. died early yesterday at Sweet Brook Care Center in Williamstown. Born in Adams on May 18, 1912, daughter of John and Katherine Krawczyk Jamros, she attended local schools. Mrs. Banas was employed by the former Jarisch Paper Box Co. in North Adams for more than 20 years, retiring in 1974. Before that she worked at the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Co. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus' Church. Her husband, Edward F. Banas, died March 6, 2001. She leaves a sister, Stella Hakes of Williamstown. The funeral will be Thursday at 9:30 from AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church celebrated by the Rev. John C. Chwalek, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus' Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday morning from 8:30 to 9:30. Memorial donations may be made to the VNA and Hospice of Northern Berkshire through the funeral home. Mrs. Banas was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph and Stanley Jamros, and five sisters, Agnes Szafranski, Helen Rodda, Minnie Coones, Mary Padu and Sophie Jamros.
