Louise E. Musgrove

Louise E. Musgrove, 81, of Dade City, Fla., formerly of Hinsdale, died April 3 in Roanoke, Va. Born in Northampton on May 15, 1922, daughter of Ruth and John Evans, she attended Henry W. Bishop III Memorial Training School for Nurses. She retired in 1975 and moved to Florida. She lived in Hinsdale from 1946 until 1975, and was a food service assistant at Kittredge Elementary School. In Florida, Mrs. Musgrove was a volunteer with the Dade City Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Dade City Women's Club for a number of years. Her husband of 33 years, Nelson Parker Musgrove Jr., died before her. She leaves three sons, John Musgrove of Pensacola, Fla., Michael Musgrove of Roanoke and Jeffrey Musgrove of Scottsdale, Ariz.; three daughters, Debora Clapper of Nashville, Tenn., Peggy Hedgecock of San Antonio, Fla., and Carol Cowan of Dade City; a brother, John Evans of Northampton; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A celebration of the life of Louise E. Musgrove will be held in the Hinsdale Cemetery on Maple Street at 2 on May 15. The family will receive friends after the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial to Gentle Shepherd Hospice Charities, 4005 Electric Road, Suite 202, Roanoke, VA 24014, or the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are being handled by OAKEY'S FUNERAL SERVICE, East Chapel, Roanoke, VA 24007. Survivors include her brother, John Evans of Northampton, and many nieces and nephews.
