Madeline W. Gleason VanBramer, 95, a formerly of Pittsfield, died Saturday at East Pasco Medical Center in Zephyrhills, Fla. Born in Philmont, N.Y., on Feb. 10, 1909, daughter of Harry and Margaret Kornfield Christman, she was educated there. She moved to Florida in 1987. Mrs. VanBramer had been employed in the bookkeeping department of the former Sheaffer Eaton Corp. for nearly 30 years. Her first husband, Daniel Gleason, is deceased. She leaves her husband, Louis VanBramer, whom she married July 18, 1970; two daughters, Patricia Fitch of Pittsfield and Sally Connors of Sanbornton, N.H.; a son, David Gleason of Springfield, 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Madeline Gleason VanBramer died in Florida on Saturday, April 10, 2004. Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, April 15, at 10 in St. Joseph's Cemetery by the Rev. Michael Shershanovich, pastor of St. Joseph's Church. Family and friends are invited to meet inside the cemetery gate at 9:45. DWYER FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
