Steven G. Rocheleau

Steven G. Rocheleau, 46, of 98 Wade Inn Road died Saturday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Pittsfield on March 5, 1958, son of Maurice and Jennie Tallman Rocheleau, he was educated in Richmond and Pittsfield schools and attended Pittsfield High School. He lived in Pittsfield until moving to Becket 4 1/2 years ago. Mr. Rocheleau was employed by Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington as an environmental services supervisor for 10 years, leaving in 1992 because of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He also had been employed at one time as the supervisor of housecleaning at Berkshire Medical Center and as a security guard for Burns Security in Pittsfield. He was a former communicant of Notre Dame Church and a former member of the Richmond Fire Department. He was a member of the October Mountain Sportsman's Club and the American Kennel Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to the races at Lebanon Valley Speedway. He was also a fan of the Patriots and NASCAR. He and his wife, the former Patricia Haraway of Becket, were married May 31, 2003. Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Tonya M. Rocheleau of Lanesboro; two sons, Scott M. Rocheleau of Becket and Thomas J. Rocheleau of Pittsfield; four stepsons, Christopher M. Egee of Becket, Ralph B. Egee III of Jasper, Ala., Johnathan D. Egee of Florence, Ala., and Kevin Cogswell of Clifton, Tenn.; a sister, Sandra A. Kingsley of Pittsfield; four grandchildren, and four step-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Steven G. Rocheleau, who died April 17, 2004, will be Wednesday at 1:30 at DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be tomorrow, April 20, from 5 to 8 at the funeral home. Steven also leaves his eight grandchildren, Kayley and Tiffany Rocheleau, Cali and Cassidy Saldo, Cerrissa and Ta'Reena Cogswell and Olivia Egee and Ralph Egee IV; his brother-in-law William Kingsley; his niece, Karene Farina; his nephew, Max Anderson and his grandniece, Ashley Farina. Memorial donations may be made to the Becket Fire & Ambulance Squad in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
