Mary L. Turner Touponce

Mary L. Turner Touponce, 88, of 30 Dewey Ave. died Thursday at Springside of Pittsfield, where she had resided for several months. Born in Scituate, R.I., on Oct. 15, 1915, daughter of Oliver and Hattie Thurter Fague, she was a graduate of Pittsfield High School. Mrs. Touponce was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church and the Froio Senior Center, and enjoyed gardening. Her first husband, Harlend W. Turner, is deceased. Her husband, Ferdinand William Touponce, whom she married April 6, 1948, died in 1972. She leaves a son, William Touponce of Indianapolis, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Mary L. Touponce died in Pittsfield on Thursday, April 15, 2004. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 20, at 2 at DWYER FUNERAL HOME by the Rev. James Dannals, rector of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church. Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
