Mary A. Carlman

Mary A. Carlman, 93, died yesterday morning at Fairview Commons. Born in Springfield on Nov. 24, 1910, daughter of Antonio and Anna Christofori Benotti, she attended schools in Weston. She resided in Waltham for many years until moving to Hyannis in 1972, and to Cameron House in Lenox in 2001. Mrs. Carlman was employed in factory work in Waltham, and also in various school cafeterias there and later on Cape Cod. Her husband, Frank Carlman, whom she married June 27, 1931, died in 1992. She leaves a son, Carl Carlman of Sheffield; four sisters, Lena Carlman if The Villages, Fla., Ide Klee of Marlboro, Alda Carmisciano of Orange Park, Fla., and Louise Moore of Ocala, Fla., two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services will be private. Mary found the most joy and dedicated her life to spending time with her family. She is survived by her son, Carl Carlman, and his wife, Cynthia Meyer-Carlman, of Sheffield; her grandson, David Carlman and his wife, Katherine; her granddaughter, Donna Jackman and her husband, Thomas, along with five great-grandchildren, Karoline, Jayne, Anna Rose, Lauren and Jessica.
