M. Jeannette Morin Plumb
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Mary Jeannette Morin Plumb, 80, of St. Joseph's Court, 85 Eagle St., died Monday, April 19, 2014, at North Adams Regional Hospital, where she was admitted April 13.
Born in Lowell, Vt., on Nov. 15, 1923, daughter of Archille and Aurore LeBlanc Bouffard, she attended schools in Sherbrooke, Quebec. She moved to North Adams as a teenager.
Mrs. Plumb was employed by Cornish Wire Co. and its successor, General Cable Corp., in Williamstown for 42 years until her retirement.
She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church and the former Holy Family Church. She was a member of Frank R. Stiles Post 125 American Legion Auxiliary.
Her former husband, Leo J. Morin, died in 1989.
Her husband, Raymond Leslie Plumb, died May 16, 1985.
She leaves two daughters, Rachel Hartwig and her son, Robert, of Charlton and Kathleen Morin Perreault of Oxford; a son, Robert L. Morin and his wife, Lee, of Bennington, Vt.; three sisters, Irene Lambert of North Adams, Sister Yvette Bouffard of Maine and Alice Michel of Burlington, Vt.; six grandchildren,14 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson, and sister-in-law, Aileen Mazza of North Adams.
Predeceased by sisters, Reina Pepin and Mary Rose Bouffard, and brothers, Lionel and Henry Bouffard.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Plumb will be Thursday, April 22, at 9:30 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St,, North Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:30 at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 610 State Road, North Adams, by the Rev. Daniel J. O'Hear, pastor of St. Anthony of Padua Church.
Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery, Williamstown. Calling hours at the funeral home will be tonight from 6 to 9. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested for the North Adams Ambulance Service through the funeral home.
