Sarah Brickman

Sarah Brickman, 89, formerly of East Street, died Tuesday at Fairview Commons. She had resided in Great Barrington and Lakeville, Conn., for 60 years. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on May 19, 1914, daughter of Gussie and Hymie Kropkof, she attended schools there. Her husband, Morris Brickman, whom she married Dec. 27, 1936, died April 1992. She leaves three sons, Stuart Brickman of Rochester, N.Y., Carl Brickman of Minneapolis and Mel Brickman of Morris, Conn.; a daughter, Holly Brickman Steinberg of Great Barrington; a sister, Fanny Sacks of Scottsdale, Ariz., eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Sarah Brickman will be Friday, April 23, 2004, at 2:30, conducted by Rabbi Deborah Zecher, spiritual leader of Hevreh of South Berkshire, at the FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME, 426 Main St., Great Barrington, MA 01230.
