FRANCIS LOIS (CRAWFORD) FLEURY

Mrs. Frances Lois (Crawford) FLEURY, 70, of 154 Mohawk Forest Blvd., North Adams, died Sunday, December 10, 2000, at her residence. Although she had experienced pulmonary dysfunction, death was unexpected. She was born in Adams on Jan 23, 1930. Daughter of Eugenia (Mercier) Mathew Crawford. The family were residents of 57 Commercial St. in Adams for many years. Frances attended the former Commercial St. School, the C.T. Plunkett Jr. High School and the former Adams High School. She was a member of the Class of ‘38 (didn’t graduate). A member of Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs/St. Thomas Aquinas Parish of Adams & St. Anthony’s Parish of North Adams, she was also a member of the V.F.W. Post 966 Auxiliary. Her career in the work place commenced with ALADCO in Adams for several years; she then secured a position with Sprague Electric Co., of North Adams and then in 1982 she became a member of the Dining Hall staff at MCLA, working for the American Restaurant Association. She retired from the active work force in 1995. Mrs. Fleury was widowed to George Shorey, David Nassif. Sr., and Gary Fleury. She is survived bv her mother, Jennie (Mercier) Ordyna & stepfather John Ordyna both of Savoy. One son: David Nassif, Jr & a daughter-in-law, Lisa Nassif, both of Savoy. A daughter: Mrs. Stephen (Kathleen) Jakubowski of Barkhamsted, CT. A sister: Bernice Komuniecki of Pittsfield: 4 grandchildren: John T. & Joshua D. Nassif & Amand Lee & AshIey Lynn Jakubowski. She was predeceased by a sister, Joan Crawford. Frances Fleury will be cremated pursuant to her wishes. A comittal service will occur in the Spring and will be announced by the family. Memorial donations in her memory are suggested to the Savoy Volunteer Fire Dept. c/o The Treasurer of the Fire Company; Main Road, Savoy, MA 01256. The McBride Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
