Evelyn B. Cahalan, 90, formerly of 23 East Alford St., died Saturday at Hillcrest Commons, where she had resided since 1999. Born in South Lee on May 16, 1910, daughter of Michael and Mary Coles Cahalan, she attended schools in Lee. She had resided in Pittsfield most of her life. A homemaker, she was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. She leaves several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Cemetery in Lee, with the Rev. Gary Dailey, pastor of St. Mary's Church in Lee, officiating. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dalton Fire Department in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, which is handling the arrangements. Miss Cahalan is survived by two nephews, James E. Callahan and Francis Cahalan, great-nieces and nephews, Deanna Casella, Cheryl Belknap, Scott Casella, and Shenna and Paul Callahan. She was predeceased by a niece, Joan P. Casella, and two brothers, James E. Callahan and Francis Cahalan.
