Cynthia R. Hart

Cynthia R. Hart, 55, of Sarasota, Fla., died suddenly on Tuesday, April 27, at her home. She was the mother of Gabrielle Senza of Great Barrington. Born in Buffalo, N.Y., on Sept. 29, 1948, she was daughter of Nancy Schultz Hart of Burlington, Vt., and the late William A. Hart Jr. She was a former resident of Hanover, N.H., and worked for 22 years with the Dartmouth College Dining Services. She enjoyed water-skiing, windsurfing, snorkeling, sailing, horseback riding, candle making, painting and collage, and gardening. Besides her mother and her daughter, she leaves two stepsons, Anthony Shaw of Bradford, Vt., and Scott Shaw of White River Junction, Vt.; two sisters, Lori Wright of Milton Vt., and Julie Quiring of Chico, Calif.; a grandson, and four step-grandchildren. Founded in 2002 by Cynthia's daughter, Gabrielle Senza, the mission of Red Collaborative is to increase public awareness of physical, sexual and emotional abuse through the creation and exhibition of community-based art initiatives aimed to empower individuals, build community and give voice to the voiceless. Memorial service to be announced. Arrangements are under the direction of KIDDER MEMORIAL HOME, 89 Grand Avenue, Swanton, Vt. She also leaves a grandson, Matteo Baratta-Senza of Great Barrington.
