Dennis Allen Mange

Dennis Allen Mange, 60, of Route 10, Cleveland, Texas, formerly of Beartown Mountain, South Lee, died April 18 at home. Born in Pittsfield on Sept. 26, 1943, son of Alfred E. Mange Jr. and Dorothy Lockenwitz Mange, he attended schools in Great Barrington and graduated from the former Searles High School in 1961. Following high school, he served two years in the Army. At the time of his death, Mr. Mange was a self-employed carpenter. He leaves his wife, the former Patsy Draper, he leaves three daughters, Dorothy Prestwood of Oklahoma, Natalia VanHoose of Texas and Nita Barnett of Texas; a son, Michael Mange of Oklahoma; a stepdaughter, Evangeline Hernandez of Texas; two stepsons, Rodney Hernandez of Texas and Perry Hernandez of Texas; three brothers, Jerry Mange of Ludlow, William Mange of Sanbornville, N.H., and Timothy Mange of Cheshire; a sister, Judith Williams of South Lee; 17 grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. Another son, Dennis Mange Jr., predeceased him. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A memorial service for Dennis A. Mange will be held at Saturday, May 8, at 10 at the Church of the Good Shepherd on Route 102 in South Lee. The Rev. Stanley Woolly will officiate. He was predeceased by a brother, Alfred E. Mange III.
