Letizia I. Perra, 87
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Letizia Irene "Lettie" Perra, 87, of 51 Frederick St. died Monday, May 10, 2004, at Sweet Brook Care Centers in Williamstown, where she had resided since November 2003.
Born in North Adams on Jan. 30, 1917, daughter of Louis and Antoinette Remorgille Grande, she was a 1937 graduate of Drury High School.
Mrs. Perra was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. for 27 years, retiring in 1977. Before that, she worked for the former Gale Shoe Co. for 11 years.
She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church. She was a member of the International Union of Electrical Workers Local 200 and the Sprague Electric Quarter Century Club.
Her husband, Arthur E. Perra, whom she married May 8, 1948, died July 1, 1984.
She leaves a brother, Salvatore "Sam" Grande of North Adams, and a sister, Josephine Birch of Latham, N.Y.
Three brothers, Anthony, Louis and Joseph Grande, are deceased.
FUNERAL NOTICE - Services for Mrs. Perra will be Wednesday, May 12, at 9:30 from AUGE-SAN SOUCIE-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, North Adams. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 at St. Anthony of Padua Church by the Rev. Daniel J. O'Hear, pastor. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be today, May 11, from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Flowers may be sent or memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice through the funeral home, 46 North Church St., North Adams, MA 01247.
