Maria Mysliwy

Maria Mysliwy, 78, of 370 Park St., Housatonic, died yesterday at Fairview Hospital. Born in Szczalki, Poland, on July 12, 1925, daughter of Stanislaw and Anastazia Glowcka, she was educated there. She moved to Great Barrington from Germany in 1951. Mrs. Mysliwy was employed as a case packer for Becton Dickinson & Co. in Canaan, Conn., until 1962. Earlier, she had worked for the former David's Hats in Housatonic. She was a communicant of All Saints' Church and a member of its Rosary Sodality. Her husband, Czeslaw Mysliwy, whom she married Aug. 8, 1951, in Germany, died March 26, 2001. She leaves her close friends and caregivers, Stanley and Mary Szwyd of Housatonic. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Maria Mysliwy, who died Tuesday, May 11, 2004, will be conducted Friday at 11 at All Saints' Church, Housatonic, by the Rev. Walter Gurgul. Burial will follow in St. Bridget's Cemetery. Friends may call tomorrow, May 13, from 4 to 7 at BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME. Expressions of sympathy in Mrs. Mysliwy's memory may be made to All Saints' Church in careof the funeral home, 33 South St., Great Barrington, MA 01230.
