Rita Waddock

Rita Waddock, 81, of 629 Laurel St., formerly of St. Mary's Avenue, died Friday at Laurel Lake Center. Born in Lenox on Aug. 19, 1922, daughter of Frank and Lucina Orienti Voisin, she graduated as valedictorian in 1940 from Lenox High School. She also attended the former Berkshire Business College. A homemaker, Mrs. Waddock was employed as a clerk of the court for the town of Lee when she was young. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church and a former member of the Greenock Country Club, and enjoyed bridge and traveling. Her husband, John J. Waddock, died Sept. 28, 1969. She leaves a son, James Waddock of Lee; two daughters, Sandra Waddock of Newton and Eileen Peterson of South Casco, Maine; a sister, Frances Tyre of Southbury, Conn., and three grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A graveside service for Rita V. Waddock, who died May 14, 2004, will be conducted Tuesday, May 18, at 11 at St. Mary's Cemetery in Lee. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 9 until 10:45 at KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 3 Main St., Lee.
