Beatrice Anna Thompson

Beatrice Anna Thompson, 80, of 15 Donovan St. died Tuesday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Pittsfield on Oct. 6, 1923, daughter of Joseph C. Grizey Sr. and Anna Maynard Grizey, she was a graduate of Pittsfield High School. A homemaker, Mrs. Thompson was employed by the former Eaton Paper Co. at one time. She enjoyed animals and doing cross stitch, needlepoint and crossword puzzles. Her husband, John L. Thompson, whom she married Aug. 16, 1947, died June 22, 2002. She leaves a daughter, Patricia A. Cotton, with whom she made her home, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Beatrice Anna Thompson, who died Tuesday, May 25, 2004, will be conducted tomorrow, May 28, at 1 at DERY FUNERAL HOME by the Rev. Carol K. Towley, pastor of Second Congregational Church. Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. Calling hours will be today from 5 to 7 at the funeral home. Survivors include her son-in-law, Churchill C. Cotton; two grandsons, Churchill C. Cotton II and John W. Cotton; two great-grandchildren, Alex James Cotton and Haylei Elizabeth Cotton; a niece, Jean Molleur, and a nephew, Clinton Grizey. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
