Rose L. Cianfarini

Rose L. Cianfarini, 85, formerly of 98 Cromwell Ave., died Thursday, April 12, at Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility, where she had resided since 1994. Before entering the nursing home, she had made her home with her sister, Parmi G. Russo, in Pittsfield. Born in Hinsdale on April 1, 1916, daughter of Luigi and Domenica Biondi Cianfarini, she came to Pittsfield as an infant and attended Pittsfield schools. She was employed by GE for 36 years, retiring from the power distribution department in 1980. A communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, she was a member of the GE Pensioners and Quarter Century clubs. She leaves two sisters, Parmi G. Russo of Vernon Hills, Ill., and Antoinette M. Daoust of Pittsfield; and a brother, Nato Cianfarini of Pittsfield. Predeceased by two brothers, John Cianfarini and Patrick L. Cianfarini. Funeral services will take place Friday, April 20, at 10:45 from the FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:30 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, celebrated by the Rev. Geoffrey J. Deeker, C.S.S., pastor. Burial will follow in the family plot in St. Joseph's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mt. Carmel Church Centennial Organ Fund in care of the funeral home.
