Louis F. Decker

Louis Francis Decker, 65, of Atlantic Beach, Fla., formerly of Lenox, died Sunday at Baptist Medical Center-Beaches in Jacksonville, Fla. Born in Lenox on Sept. 15, 1935, son of Frank and Helen Culligan Decker, he attended Lenox schools. After graduating from Lenox Memorial High School, he joined the Navy, retiring in the late 1970s as a chief petty officer/radioman. He was a member of American Legion Post 416, VFW Post 3270 and Fleet Reserve Association 290, all in Atlantic Beach. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping and sports. He leaves his wife of 35 years, the former Eurma Rhoades; a daughter, Linda Walsh of Elkton, Md.; two sisters, Marion DeFreest of Lee and Margaret Steuerwald of Lenox, and two grandchildren.
