Edwin W. Kingston Sr

Edwin W. Kingston Sr., 50, of 226 First St. died yesterday at home. Born in Great Barrington on July 24, 1953, son of Arthur J. and Jennie L. Jackson Kingston, he moved to Pittsfield in 1958 and attended local schools. He enlisted in the Army after high school. Mr. Kingston was last employed by Sacco's Trucking for eight years, retiring in 1998 because of ill health. Prior to this, he worked at the former Edgecomb Nursing Home in Lenox. He leaves two sons, Edwin E. Kingston Jr. and William E. Kingston, both of Pittsfield; two brothers, Arthur Kingston of Chapman, Kan., and Ernest Kingston of West Springfield; five sisters, Loretta Kingston and Patricia Kingston, both of Pittsfield, Helen Superneau of Clarksburg, Jennie Elsworthof Hinsdale and Lucy Hearn of Cheshire, and four grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Edwin W. Kingston Sr. will be Friday at 4 at the WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME with the Rev. Dr. Robert Rennie, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Calling hours will be from 2 until the time of the service on Friday. Following cremation, burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the American Heart Association in care of the funeral home, 220 East St., Pittsfield, MA 01201. Among survivors are his grandchildren, Edward Kingston III, Reayanna M. Kingston, Nichole L. Kingston and Antonio J. Kingston, and several nieces and nephews.
