Christopher John Ouellette, 28, of 310 Highland St., Northbridge, a native of Adams, died Wednesday afternoon at University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, where he was admitted June 27 following an accident. Born in North Adams on Dec. 10, 1975, son of Michael G. and Barbara Van Kleeck Ouellette, he graduated from Hoosac Valley Regional High School in 1994 and graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell in 1999 with a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering. Mr. Ouellette worked as a field engineer for ETL Construction in Stow for the past three years. Earlier, he worked for Modern Continental Construction, attached to the central artery "Big Dig" project in Boston. He was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Whitinsville. While in Adams, he was a communicant of the Parish of Notre Dame & St. Thomas Aquinas. He and his wife, the former Tina Smachetti, were married May 12, 2001. Besides his wife and parents, he leaves a daughter Lily Anne Ouellette, at home; a sister, Julie Sniezek of Adams and his paternal grandmother, Eleanor Ouellette of Pittsfield. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral will be held on Monday, July 19, at noon from the AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 1 in Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, Park St., Route 8, Adams, celebrated by Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Parishes of Notre Dame & St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Stanislaus Kostka, Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Sunday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Lily Anne Ouellette Scholarship Fund through the funeral home. His brother, Michael G. Ouellette, Jr., died Jan. 26, 1992. He also leaves his father-in-law, David Smachetti of Adams; his mother-in-law , Mary Smachetti of Hyannis; his brother-in-law, Jay Sniezek; his sisters-in-law, Wendy Lynch and her husband, Sean; Brenda McWhirt and her husband, Scott; and Maria Smachetti and her partner, Danielle Adair, five nieces and three nephews.
