Loretta A. Lawrence

Loretta A. Lawrence, 94, formerly of Otis, died Saturday at Laurel Lake Center for Health and Rehabilitation, where she had resided since 1999. Born in New York City on Feb. 9, 1910, daughter of Arthur and Loretta Wynne Maxson, she attended schools there. She moved to Otis after her marriage, then to Lee in the late 1970s. She lived on Hyde Place until moving to Laurel Lake. Her husband, Fred Lawrence, whom she married July 26, 1936, died Oct. 14, 1990. She leaves a son, Thomas M. Lawrence of Monument, Colo.; a daughter, Teresa L. Bragdon of Lee; two brothers, William Maxson of Houston and James Maxson of New York; a sister, Josephine McGahan of Dingman's Ferry, Pa.; six grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Loretta A. Lawrence, 94, who died Saturday, July 17, 2004, will be tomorrow, July 20, at 10:30 from KELLY FUNERAL HOME in Lee, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at St. Mary's Church in Lee. Burial will follow in Otis Cemetery. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow from 9 until the time of the funeral. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make donations to St. Mary's Church in care of the funeral home. She was predeceased by her brothers Arthur, Valentine, Edward, Robert and Eugene, and by her sister Irene.
