Dorothy E. Shandrowski

Dorothy E. Shandrowski, 82, died Tuesday at Hillcrest Commons, where she had resided for some time. Born in Winsted, Conn., on July 15, 1922, daughter of Julius and Rosa Randall Rosier, she attended schools in Berkshire Village. She also had resided in Stamford, Conn. Mrs. Shandrowski was a housekeeper for a number of families in Stamford, including the Dr. Hubert Pipkin family. She enjoyed reading, scrapbooking and traveling. Her husband, Vitol Shandrowski, died in July 2001. She leaves her niece, Barbara Newton Kie of Pittsfield, and two grandnieces, Pamela Kie-Viner of Stephentown, N.Y., and Kim Kie of Pittsfield, all of whom were her caregivers. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Dorothy E. Shandrowski, who died July 27, 2004, will be private. There will be no calling hours. LEO P. GALLAGHER & SON FUNERAL HOME, 2900 Summer St., Stamford, Conn., handled arrangements. She also leaves 28 nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 20 brothers and sisters.
