James G. Nesbitt Sr

James G. Nesbitt Sr., 72, of Lee died Friday evening at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., on April 12, 1932, son of Harold and Marie Maloney Nesbitt, he graduated from Mount St. Michael High School in 1950 and attended Fairfield University. He formerly lived in Ardsley and Hastings on Hudson, both in New York. Mr. Nesbitt served in the Air Force as a navigator in the Strategic Air Command during the Korean War from 1952 until being discharged in 1956 as a major. He went on to the inactive reserve and was discharged in 1973 as a lieutenant colonel. He worked in sales and marketing in the textile industry for 38 years for Burlington Industries and Dan River Inc., both in New York. He moved to Lee in 2002 and was a member of First Congregational Church. He enjoyed golfing and traveling. He and his wife, Alicia Leiser Moore, were married in 1993. Besides his wife, he leaves a son, James Nesbitt Jr. of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two daughters, Felicia Campo of Niskayuna, N.Y., and Suzanne Keiling of Yorktown Heights, N.Y.; a stepdaughter, Michelle Moore of Lee; two stepsons, Ned Moore and Christopher Moore, both of Lee; a brother, Peter Nesbitt of Mahopac, N.Y., and 10 grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Mr. James Nesbitt Sr. is survived by his loving wife, Alicia Moore; his sons-in-law, Gerald Campo, Michael Keiling and David Renner; his daughter-in-law, Beth Moore; his grandchildren, Thomas and Jordan Campo, Timothy and Katherine Keiling, Dylan, Chenoe and Zoe Moore-Renner, and Julia, Samantha and Richard-John Moore. A son, John Francis, died as an infant. A memorial service will be held Monday at 11 at First Congregational Church in Lee.
