Bernadette Agnes O'Neill, 76, of 35 North St. died Sunday at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Born in North Adams on July 30, 1928, daughter of Joseph J. and Yvonne L. Roy Crowley, she graduated from Drury High School. Mrs. O'Neil was a matron in the buildings and grounds department at Williams College in Williamstown from 1967 until retiring in 1993. Earlier, she was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. for a few years, then at the former Richmond Hotel and at the Eagles Hall. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Francis' Church. She enjoyed sewing, reading and gardening. She and her husband, Robert A. O'Neill, were married Oct. 28, 1950, in St. Francis' Church. Besides her husband, she leaves three daughters, Susan M. Gaudreau and Sandra Jean Bourdon, both of North Adams, and Laurie A. Kinck of Shelburne Falls; a son, Marc J. O'Neill of Adams; a sister, Yvonne Hubbard of Ventura, Calif.; two brothers, Joseph L. Crowley of Williamstown and Charles G. Crowley of North Adams; 10 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Bernadette Agnes Crowley O'Neill, who died Aug. 8, 2004, will be Friday at 10:15 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, North Adams. Burial will follow in the family plot in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Thursday from 4 to 7. Please omit flowers. Memorial donations are suggested for the Massachusetts chapter of the Arthritis Foundation or to the Marian Fathers Society through the funeral home. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Survivors include 10 grandchildren, Shannon Toye, Jennifer Betti, Kevin Toye, Christopher Bourdon, R. Kyle O'Neill, Ryan Bourdon, Peter Finck, Matthew Finck, Seth Gaudreau and Ryley Gaudreau; six great-grandchildren, Julia Bourdon, Andrea Bourdon, Deliah Shulman, Kyley Jane Toye, McKenna Payton Betti and Maria Bourdon. She was predeceased by two brothers, Paul Crowley and Francis Crowley.
