Alice May Derosia

Alice May Derosia, 95, formerly of Adams, died Aug. 7 at Hospice Care Center in Port Orange, Fla. Born in Savoy on Nov. 17, 1908, daughter of Felix Ducharme and Gertrude Powling Ducharme Butler, she attended local schools. She had lived most of her life in Adams until moving to Florida in 1997. Mrs. Derosia worked for several years at the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Associates. She was a member of First Congregational Church, and enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts. Her husband, Clifton C. Derosia, whom she married Nov. 26, 1927, died April 1, 1992. She leaves a brother, Francis Butler of Pendleton, S.C.; seven grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Her son, Donald Derosia, died Sept. 17, 2003, and her daughter, Florence Scalise, died July 27, 2001. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Alice May Derosia will be conducted Monday, Aug. 23, at 11 in First Congregational Church of Adams by the Rev. Michael Mullany, pastor. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Congregational Church of Adams through AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, MA 01220, which is in charge of arrangements. She leaves her daughter-in-law, Lori Derosia of Daytona Beach, Fla.; her son-in-law, Milan Scalise of Adams, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson, David Derosia.
