Eileen Dorothy Wilk, 70, of 148 Brier Road died Monday morning at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, Vt. Born in North Adams on Dec. 21, 1933, daughter of Loren and Dorothy Blanchard Niles, she graduated from Drury High School, where she was captain of the cheerleading squad. Mrs. Wilk was employed in the business office at North Adams Regional Hospital for 15 years, retiring in 1994. Earlier, she had worked at the former Sprague Electric Co. and the North Adams School Department. She enjoyed arts and crafts, knitting and flower gardening. She leaves her husband, Edwin R. Wilk, whom she married March 11, 1979; two sons, Keith Zavattaro of Williamstown and Steven Zavattaro of Montpelier, Ind.; three stepsons, Edwin C. Wilk and Keith S. Wilk, both of Derry, N.H., and Mark C. Wilk of North Adams, and six grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Eileen D. Wilk, who died Aug. 16, 2004, will be celebrated Monday, Aug. 23, at 10 in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be at a later date. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Savoy Park Pavilion Fund through AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, MA 01220, which is in charge of arrangements. She also leaves a daughter-in-law, Kim Zavattaro of Montpelier, Ind.; two stepdaughters-in-law, Susan Wilk of Derry, N.H., and Pamela Wilk of North Adams; six grandchildren, Matthew and Nathan Zavattaro of Indiana, Josh and Kristen Wilk of North Adams, and Sarah and Christopher Wilk of New Hampshire, and several nieces and nephews.
